Long and thin is generally better than cube shaped rooms. Then channel out that room to the next Z level below leaving a 1 block wide walkway along/around the farm plot. Set up a Z level you want your farm plots to be built UNDER. The simplest method here is to just allow the water to flow into the open area, become standing water, then close it off, allow it to flow to eventually lvl 1 and then evaporate. Using channels and z levels above/below the crack allows you to do things like put in wells, channel out farm plots, put in water falls, washing stations, foot baths, etc. Make sure you leave in supports so you don't get a collapse. The key element is to ensure the water evaporation mechanic of standing level 1 water to remove the water you are pouring into that open Z level by having a large area where the water can flow. The water flows into it and you now have a relatively reliable non FUN inducing water flow at that Z level. Then, AFTER the cracks and flood gates you dig out a very open space at that Z level. This is generally bad because you can't fix it. The issue with the flood gate is items get stuck in the flood gate and block it open. They both kind of do the same thing once you get used to the water flow mechanic. The other method involves using a lever triggered flood gate. This crack is a water pressure reducer that limits water flow. When you dig out a block AND you dig out another block that is octagonally placed from the first block (i/e not N/S/E/W but NW/NE/SW/SE from that block you create a tiny space that water can flow through the crack between blocks. There are two sub methods to it, one is moderately permanent and the other can be finicky so it's best to be redundant with them. Method 2 involves either a flowing stream or aquifer. it just leaves a hole in the future farm plot. Sometimes the pond will have deeper sections in it that you can't really fill up. This method will get you a general shape you can get a larger farm plot into without too much difficulty. If you channel out that pond into a rectangular shape the water will flow out into the rectangle. When you embark you may have little ponds of stagnant water at lvl 7. Once it evaporates what's left is generally always usable mud you can plant on. Once a standing water is water level 1 it will start to evaporate. The heavier the water level generally and the longer it stays on that block the heavier the mud you will lay down. On both above ground and under ground, if you can lay down or manipulate by channeling any form of standing water 1 water level or higher at that z level you will gradually lay mud down for planting. You can choose an embark site that had shallow / deep soil. Generally the first couple Z levels down depending on the embark will have plantable soil. Just put the farm plot down either above ground or below if you have plantable soil. There's some suggestions here in the thread but they barely scratch the surface.

![]() In the future when Apple releases new hardware or OS, I will update this page. Fun Hardware InfoĪs of 5/1/321, Apple has released over 150 different Intel Model Identifiers. An example of this is a MacBook Pro released with 10.13 but later is shipped with 10.14. NOTE! The “Shipping OS can change to a newer OS release as the hardware gets older. This is the IR Version that you will see if you use Shift-Option-⌘-R. ![]() The “Shipping OS Version” is the macOS version that your Mac originally shipped with from the factory. If your Mac supports Internet Recovery, you can use this guide to find out which version of macOS you will get using the following options. At a certain point Apple will decide that a Mac is no longer supported and will not include drivers. MacOS versions that come before or after the minimum and maximum listed OS do not have the correct drivers required. Mac Hardware has a minimum and maximum version of macOS that can be installed. What is the minimum and maximum macOS Version my Mac can run? Do you need to downgrade or upgrade macOS on your Mac? This page will show you the oldest and newest version of macOS that you can install on your Mac.Ĭan I upgrade or downgrade macOS? How many times has this question come up over the years? Probably hundreds if not thousands of times. Not a big deal, but neither my 2004 Dodge with 86k nor her 2002 Saturn with almost 100k has ever done that. We drove it, and it seems nice (it's a Mercedes, after all), but when we changed places so she could drive, the inside door pull came loose from the door in my hand. We hadn't initially been looking at this car - it was parked next to the one we intended to see, but that car turned out to not be very nice. It seems very nice, but I'm concerned about the reliability of these cars. Asking price is right at blue book value. Defender and Discovery just don't cut it on their own and they would be better off continuing being marketed as models of the Land Rover brand. So, my wife and I are looking at a 2003 C230 Kompressor (sedan), verified one owner, 30k miles, and a southern car it's whole life. However, getting rid of Land Rover and all of the brand recognition and the (surprising to me) good will the name conjurs in the imagination of so many buyers and would-be buyers is dumb and a mistake. It DOES make sense to spin off Range Rover into being its own brand, given its well-established position as being more luxurious and upscale than the run-of-the-mill Land Rover models. Johnster Jaguar is already a brand of its own.I will buy what suits me.not what suits y'all. StormEagle It will sell good.then when Toyota releases good evs they will also sell good.Oh once in a while you would see a gorgous 1960 Ford Starliner go by or a 59 Skyliner or a Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop. SPPPP If the design meets FMVSS, then California has no leg to stand on.Bkojote This is an exercise in transferring money from the company to the branding strategy firm an exec insisted they hire.Nothing more.In that sense, the C320 Sport is as 'authentic' a Mercedes as anything else the company makes. Sure, the C320 Sport is a car you can drive fast when you have to, but it doesn't do anything to make you want to. How great is that? Not so great if you're an enthusiast. The Merc proved a willing, capable chariot, granting me maximum speed with minimum stress. Sparing no horses, I hustled the C320 Sport homewards. Heading off base, my cell vibrated with news of a domestic crisis requiring immediate shopping. Even if you managed to hit a solid object, the sedan's robust construction would– probably– save your bacon. In fact, you'd have to do something seriously stupid to lose control of the C320 Sport for more than a few seconds. Tony proclaimed the C320 Sport the ideal sports sedan for novice drivers– especially those who view tail out power slides as an open invitation to the emergency room. Switch off the ESP and Nanny's still there, lurking in the background, ending even the most lurid drifts with a brutal snap. Throw the wheel hard over at any speed and she'll understeer, then oversteer, then quickly return you to normal programming. Apply full anchors at 80mph, and she slows to zero in a straight line, through massive puddles, with no hands. The C320 Sport's computerized brain simply won't allow the car to get out of shape. The ritual abuse finally revealed the best that the C320 Sport has to offer: safety. Nothing broke, but it wasn't for lack of trying. We maxed out at 130 and mucked-about with the tip shifter. We slalomed, fish-tailed, donuted and burned rubber. We cranked-it-up, forwards, backwards and sideways with opposite lock and panic stop. We caned the car across the length and breadth of Quonset Point's abandoned runways. It was my final chance to see if the C320 Sport's other virtues somehow masked the soul of a sports car. Tony and I joined forces and had a play in the rain. Still, even with a reasonably powerful, sweet-spinning V6 engine in the engine bay, these attributes don't add up to "sporty". I reckon it's this quartet of characteristics that defines the Mercedes brand, and makes Mercs the logical choice for customers who view driving as a means to an end. The journey to the decommissioned Navy base was almost as revealing as our thrash Olympics.Īs I guided the C320 Sport down I-95 in driving sleet, the car provided rock steady handling, effortless lane changing, perfect comfort and superb visibility. I called my man Anthony Ricci, local instructor of extreme limo driving, and headed for his private playground. At the very least I could determine if the mini-Merc had earned the right to call itself "Sport", and thereby justify its heftier-than-a-Hemi price tag ($38k before tax and toys). I decided to concentrate my efforts on the performance side of the equation. |
